Make a donation
Well Master came with the great idea of making a donation option so users/visitors and members of plc and our paradiselost messageboard could make a donation if they want to help me out with the cost of running the paradise Lost server...
So i went to paypal and made a account for paradise Lost where all possible donations can be send too..
Donation
Go to www.plc-clan.com scroll down and click on the make donation button..
(the white donation button)
All donations are greatly appreciated and will be used a 100% for maintaning the Paradise Lost 24/7 server and the paradiselost website & messageboard..

how do i make a donation
All donations are done trough www.paypal.com its a safe and fast and simple internet banking system...
If you dont know www.paypal.com then i will explain it (short version)
www.paypal.com works by depositing money from your bank account to a paypal account (that you can make for your self for free) you can buy and sell using your paypal account on the internet..
Paypal earns money by charging a handling fee for each trans action (wich is a reasanable thing..)
It is really good i have used it my self for years now to buy stuff on e-bay and such...

When making a donation make sure to verify our e-mail addres to deposit money on..

Donation amount
you can make a donation of any amount but please keep in mind a tranfer fee will be charged by paypal wich is the company we are currently using and wich is free to use

the transfer fee will be about 50 cents (wich means for every 5 euro we get 4.50)
So plaese if you are planning on making a donation make it atleast 3 euro or 5 dollar...

People who make a donation over 20 euro will recieve a private slot and password to reach the paradiselost server to play when they feel like playing (instead of waiting inline when it is busy),they will get this private slot for 6 months.
This offer is only valid for a donations made for amount of 20 Euros or more ,offcours any amount no matter how big or small is greatly apreciated by all 1156 players that visit our Paradise Lost Server each day...
Also Private Slots must ofcours Be avalible to give away...

You will get a Private Slot* and password* wich means you dont have to stand in line even when the server is full you can enter it...

paradise Lost funds
If a lot of people make a donation and there is enough money in the Paradise Lost paypal account i will use it to make a 2nd server or use the money to expand the current server in number of players it can hold..
Disclaimer and trouble shooting
All Donations to Paradise Lost or None refundeble
1) Paradise Lost server and messageboard staff do not garantuee that the server will run or that people who made a donation can play on it (even if you have a private slot) things can and will happen that may not be in our control (cable company or other third parties involved)..
The Donations recieved by ParadiseLost staff are completly at there disposel..
2) Sinds people from all over the world contact and download from our server we cant garantuee that there is no lagg (stalling,slow play) we try to run our server in optimal preformance but sometimes there may and can be lag (stalling,slow play)..
3) The free private slot offerd to donations above 20 euro is and always will remain the propertie of Paradise Lost Server Staff and can be deleted/withdrawn at any time and moment if paradise lost staff see fit to do so...
4) Incase the server isnt online plse contact one of the paradiselost clan members or me (ironman) as soon as possible.

Hello All.
My wife is an EBay Addict and supports my real Job (working for Siemens) by selling and buying allsorts on Line.
So the Papal account donation works great for me the only concerns I have are
The fact unless you are a member that the Clan knows and respect.
The Donation of funds could in some circumstances be classed as buying your way in.
The example to explain my thought are.
If someone has a Private slot and is on all the time 24/7
(Like I would like to be if it was not for eating sleeping that thing called work and the 5 kids and darling wife.)
And they became a pain no rule braking just annoying as hell always being there but thinking they have the right to as they have paid for it.
Where would the rest of the Clan stand?

Thank you for your question, it is a relevant one.
Anyway, that is what a private slot is all about: being able to connect whenever you want to, for as long as you want to.
In my opinion, if you feel more comfortable with not donating yet because of the implications you mention, then just show up at the server and play for as long as you like.
The purpose of the server, as I see it, is precisely to give PLCers a "home", where they can play as a team.
And although the server has a small capacity, players are entering and leaving the server all the time (pretty much like a parking lot...), so just wait a few minutes and keep trying.
But the point you present is a valid one, and since the "donate-and-get-a-private-slot" was put in practice before we had a ranking system, this is what I suggest:
Since new clan members on probation (i.e. Recruits) are not granted full priviledges anyway, they also should not be able to get a private slot.
As such, donations -- and therefore private slots -- should be restricted to full-members of the clan, i.e. ranks Soldier and above.
In your case, Fibremat, that means you would have to wait for 2 weeks, and then, if indeed accepted as a full member, you would be able to donate.
I think this matter should be voted upon, and plus receive Ironman's acceptance/veto -- after all, Ironman supports all expenses from his own pocket, and he is the one handling the money from donations, to pay for server upkeeping and such...

the function is simple, i pay for everything and iv people make a donation in order to help me pay for everything in return they get the use of a private slot...
the private slot is just a way of thanking people that want to help me in covering the cost that the server brings with it..
