its just to be curious, but do some of you play age of empiresIII online??

i still play the normal age of empires (gold edition) i really liek that game..

me too its (gold edition) historically true (campaigns) and if you play it hard (or multiplayer) you really have to think tactically (just like in ET when teams are even) and make a counter army. that quick thinking really helps you everywhere, even in ET

its just like a chess game

yep, it would be very strange to download games from microsoft itself lol
i once played age of mythology, nice game too, only thing thats different is that you have mythological monsters+ normal troops

I have not played it online as yet.But i will once i have got of a certain map that is doing me head in...

if you have AEOIII i would suggest go online, much better than offline and if you have AOEI or II dont go online, you wont find anyone anymore

dark, just learn to see the true key of the map, for example: alot of space with almost ne trees and natural absturctions ==> go for a cavalry raid and back them up with people who can counter the enemies anti-cav troops so that you can hit his econ verry hard and fast

nope, the only strategy game i play(ed) is age of empires and age of mythology

I played it, but I don't understand why those freaking dudes wanna destroy my nice village, Everything is nice , peacefull etc. and then there is war again..... That realy fckd me up

and online gaming... didn't know it is that funny, till someone here start playing et, 2 years ago. Before I only did webdesign and forum talk, and on the great Amiga500 and 3000+ played a lot "the first Doom".
There wasn't even the www. only bbs, and that was already fun!

got a lot war games on ps2 (nowadays old) like CoD
those games i like , ET ofcourse is the best

if a game doesnt have a multiplayer option. for me that game will be defenitly declared "STUPID TO THE BONE" ;D
there goes nothing above the unreliability of a human mind

and rip, in multiplayer, some players come with like 50 soldiers in like 10 mins, be prepared for a big defence than since you only have some farmers, just get as fast as you can in age2, get some upgrades and click on the freakin musketeer button while 3 of ur farmers build towers, lookout posts, military camps, economy AND most important WALLS...

I've been playing the first Age Of Empires for the last week, I just passed Egyptian campaign, and I started Greek one.

It's an alright game, most missions aren't too difficult (usually I can keep building farms and soldiers until I feel like I'm ready).

But the first Greek mission is quite difficult at first, I need to find a place to set up a town while fighting off many different tribes that want to beat up all of my villagers. Well, after school I'll beat the living crap out of them ;D

try a second secret spot far in the woods, it happens that they will be overlooked for a while.

i know a good place, go with all of your people to the east of the screen, stay against the water, you can fish, hunt, cut trees, farm, mine, etc etc, just build some defenses and a wall, if you need more gold (or was it stone? i dont know anymore) just go to the north, you will find an enemy tower guarding the ores and they will be surrounded by a wall. hope that helps u.

oh and another thing, kill the brown (or was it yellow, or was it both??) first, anyway leave the strongest one, i guess it was red or brown, alive till you are ready for it cause he has alot of towers.

srry dude but i dont know so much anymore about the 1st aoe, you fight with spears and bows and swords while i already discovered america and am fighting native americans and other european countries with gunpowder, mass cavalry or english redcoats

finally, age of empires will make another x-pack, they are heading east to china, japan and india, finally we have war elephants again, the expansion would consist of 3 new civs (india, japan, china) and a bunch of new maps, tactics etc etc... they are planning to get it in stores this fall
