As Werder is my favourite I hope that they will get trough. Diego, Naldo, Pasanen, Frings, Rosenberg There's always happy end for Europes top football nation.

No harm feelings, but Germany is not the top football nation. Lately, only Bayern München managed to get to 2 nd round of champions league, while Spain and England produced at least 6 teams together (usually 3 each). This year, as we know, Bayern plays in Uefa cup, so it's up to others to fill the gap. As much as i hate to say it, but it looks like Italy is the top football nation. They are the world champions and Milan is the club with most wins in last few seasons of the league. I personally hope that english club will win, but spanish and italian club are very strong. On the other hand, i doubt that Schalke or Werder Bremen have the quality to win or qualify even to 1/4 finals. We will see, perhaps i will have to "eat my words", but this is my opinion

sure the german club football is not what it was in the late 90's as Bayern and Dortmund won CL and that shit but now only our fans are top in europe the german bundesliga has far more fans per match as italy or england
i hope that bremen and schalke go for quarter finals because of the uefa 5 years valuation but dont think that they come further.
