Just remember that death is not the end' and everything that has this atmosphere of romanticism (speaking normally->poetry) metaphores, oxymorons... music for me is a different world where u can hide yourself and your memories. the good, the bad and the ugly  |

the lyric u provided is a bit too 'lovy', too blah besides it's 2 steps shy of pornography read it... just like deftones ' passenger' let's just say it's a nice way of describing smth that happens on the back seat very similar to your text little one... |

cheesy, cheesy, didn't want to do it, but ok... when do you keep your head on ones chest?? at a diner? watching a film? softer sin? softer from what? and what sin? kissing, so kissing is a softer sin... ok, like my first time when i caught fire...i'll leave it with no comment lost love, new love, torment of not being with the loved one pretty straight forward here staying in bed making love 'that's all' that means let's stay together 4 ever... love is in the air... anybody remembers this song?? ^_^ sorry for the digression ok cheesy I forced myself to make a couple of questions and write answers for some of them. I bet that a woman wrote this song (it's very womanish, if u can say so) and i'd bet that a woman sings it... the music in the background doesn't matter... it can be sang in black metal style as well as h/c... just the rhythm patters would change slightly... I see it this way, but the beauty of lyrics (as any poems) that u can see it in your own way (this is a rule to all music except for techno/dance/disco 'i like to move it, move it') just remember cheesy, dont take everything as it is, question everything and don't believe... 'cogito ergo sum' now this saying has a deeper sense... |

The group's name is "Mão Morta" (or translated Dead Hand). www.mao-morta.org/ The album's name is "Há já muito tempo que nesta latrina o ar se tornou irrespirável" (or translated Since long in this latrine the air as become unbreathable) The group's vocalist bears the odd (or maybe not by now) name of "Adolfo Luxúria Canibal" (or translated Adolf Canibal Luxury) and is, (so I've heard) a judge by academic study and profession. Frequently their lyrics are as much wacky as you could expect from the above already mentioned but yet aiming at making you think about this and that... Anyway my most favourite lyrics are in portuguese language and so only understandable by some portuguese speakers. Translating poetry is possible but something is always lost... I probably have some favourites in english, for instance those 2 I posted not 2 hours ago on Ironman's "why?" ranting. I should say that finding myself that poetry is not understandable and requires other system of coordinates to be processed I can clearly see Flying's point. Since long I think that poetry is feelable not understandable and that is why I hear many people say they don't like poetry because they don't understand it. Of course they don't... Trying to understand poetry is like using a thermometer to measure lengths or a hammer to fasten screws. It's just not the appropriate tool. Of course there are various attitudes about exposing (some kind of) feelings publicly. That's each one's trip (and each one's consequences if any)... As there are different approaches to human sex life... What some call "love", others may call "pornography"... |
