ok im very sry i was insulting u i didnt know ur family helped jewish but u know there was alot of families that told the nazis where there r jewish or family that didnt care about us. i didnt mean the family that helped the jewish, i meant the family which didnt like jewish. im very sry Ha Jowex, don't suck up to me!!... like i told you before, you know nothing about me, but you persisted...and have you ever thought Jowex, the reason they told them where the Jewish families were was because if they never, they were killed ?!...Jowex, you need to open your eyes and see the world around you, not just the one you are in... It's not because they don't like the Jewish religion, it is because they were fighting for their own lives...every man out for himself, that is what they needed to do to survive!

History? It is always written by those who win the war.
If the Arabs win the war, their version of the events prevail; same goes for the Americans, the Chinese, or even the Israelis.
All we can say for certain about the Arabs/Jews religious conflict is that it does go a long way back, which makes it quite probably the oldest family fight in recent History (i.e. in the last few thousand years).
Yes, I did say "family", since they all stem from the same root, so to say, in the sense that they all acknowledge the very same guy as their ancestor -- Abraham, is it?
So, strangely enough, they were all Arabs to begin with, only then some became Jews, some Christians, and then some Muslims -- but who cares?!
I most certainly DO NOT CARE about any monotheistic religious bickering; I'm all for Mother Nature and, with all due respect for people's personal believes, I say f*ck the Father God -- or, for that matter, any other god who brings death and destruction instead of life and construction.
Back on track, as with all family fights, nobody is right any more, and yet nobody wants to give in.
If you ask me, let the Jewish and the Muslim fight each other to death over some Temple ruins, let them bomb each other to pieces, but please, please, don't either side ask for my support; whoever wants my support must first show me he is capable of compassion.
Petroleum, huh? I would like to see people drink oil...
Let the Arabs (and every other single nation that has underground oil on their territory) keep their oil; if I will ever condone a war over a natural resource, it will be over drinking water -- and those days aren't far now...
As for the Jewish being such great guys, I wonder why they've been kicked out of most countries in Europe throughout History...
I'm sure it must be because they are such nice people, always willing to show compassion and lend a hand, and that it has nothing to do with their ruthless money-lending business. But then again, that only makes them good businessmen, right? Anyway, it is besides the point here.
So, 6 million Jews got killed by Nazis in WW2, or so the story goes (although some people argue that the number is over inflated, but again, that is not the real point here), but curiously enough, the Gypsies also got killed by the camp-load ("camp" as in "concentration camp", only their star was not yellow -- there were LOTS OF COLORED STARS, not just yellow stars for Jews), and so were the "bad" artists, and the gays, and the communists, and people from other religions, but none of those (and let's think of the Gypsies here) got their own country on a silver platter, like the Jewish people did, when WW2 was over...
The motivations of both sides on WW2 are not easy to understand, and much less easy to explain, but it seems beyond doubt nowadays that Hitler and his followers (and definitely his puppeteers) definitely wanted to promote the Arian "race" to "master-race" on Earth, and that involved killing the "inferior races" (mostly by working them to death -- please note that, despite Hollywood, the Nazis only killed on arrival those that were useless as manual labor; the Warsaw ghetto was an exception, not the rule).
So, the Jews were a good target to begin with, as they were disliked by pretty much everyone in the Western World (not just the Germans, mind you).
And of course the German State jumped at the opportunity to confiscate the vast Jewish property, and we can say that things kind of got out of hand from that point onwards; we've all heard of the infamous "final solution"...
But I'm digressing here; bah, and why not?!
So, to finish this post of mine on such a silly matter, nothing better than a few enigmatic sentences:
a) we all believe in what we want to believe b) History is but the strongest story c) nobody ever won a religious discussion d) we must show respect if we want to deserve respect e) a religious State is a recipe for disaster f) good fences make good neighbors g) a child's cries of hunger/pain are a universal language h) there is always a way out i) nobody but ourselves is responsible for our actions j) we all have to live with the choices we make
But, to really end it, I repeat my question of my previous post:
If it was the Nazis who went after the Jews, how come it was the Arabs that had to give up their land as compensation?!
Oh, and what can be more "master race"-like than the Jews claiming they are God's favorites?!
Just 1 more question, really, the last one: if the Jewish people already have "their" land back, how come the Jews all over the world don't just get on a plane and fly to Israel, thus ending the Diaspora once and for all?!

[Jowex] like i told you before, you know nothing about me, but you persisted... Jowex, you need to open your eyes and see the world around you, not just the one you are in... [...] Hehehe, that's my Cheese... You tell him, girl! But seriously, Cheese is 100% right: we can never, ever, assume beforehand we know anything about a person's background/believes based on what (we think is) their country of origin... Well, let's examine Jowex's case, for example: to me, he doesn't sound like a Jewish/Israeli at all... As a Jewish male, Jowex will have had Tora studying sessions, and whatever he didn't understand his Rabbi will have explained to him. Therefore, his thinking should be more mature than it obviously is -- unless his Rabbi has chosen to focus on those books of the Tora that say "Jews rule"... But really, Israelis/Jews are nothing if not well educated, and implying that all Arabs are Muslims is the same as saying that all Muslims are Arabs, which is really a big blunder for a student of a religion that put so much stress on good wits... Plus, being from a nation (check out the concept of nation, you will probably be surprised) which was almost wiped out a few decades ago, I would expect him to instinctively feel compassion for those struck by disaster (natural, human, or otherwise -- for those of you who think what "otherwise" could possibly be, think "little green men from space"), and think twice about saying anything coming even remotely close to "ethnic cleansing". On the other hand, I have always seen Israelis as definitely practical people, (the "kibbutz-kind" of practical people), who worry about the problems at hand (like using drip-drip-drip irrigation to grow cultures in the desert, or building a really tall wall with check-points, to keep the terrorist out) instead of going around rejoicing with the death of tens of thousand of people from a faraway country (practically in India!), whom they have never seen before in their lives... So, I guess this only comes to show how misleading assumptions can be, right?! Of course, it is quite possible that Jowex is actually a Jewish / an Israeli, although (like several people have already pointed out in replies to this topic) just an idiotic one!

konrad there is no pilot!!!! they r walking to special places in israel where there r alot of ppl and take on thier body bomb, than bomb themself and more 50 ppl which r near them... its not good cuz 1 arab is dead and 10 israelis r dead to. beside every arab has 20 kids so if 1 is dead its not so bad to them and israelis has something like in ur countries so its not so good if 50 r dead!!! wich is terrible but that doesnt mean that if innocent children die or elderly people and any kind of people die in a great catosphry no matter what religion it is also terrible and sad.... i mean you are jewish and some jewish blood runs also in my family ,but in my opiuniun as someone who lives in a other land is that a palastinian blowing him self up and killing jews is terrible, but the jewish army shooting a rocket from a helicopter gunship to kill some terrorist in wich also 50 palastinians die is also terrible... i mean if your gonna think about it then it is all war and natural disasters that are terrible.... Becos no matter what war you are in or what side you will choose, neither political or militairy side nor religion, they will all claim there side is and will be the better side for you

Doctors have also warned that tetanus could become a big problem in quake areas if vaccinations are not carried out properly.
WHO doctor, Irfan Noor, said 18 cases had now been reported from the Balakot area of Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province and that many of those affected were children.
He said there had been three deaths so far from tetanus, two of them children.
The BBC's Imogen Foulkes in Geneva says the earthquake has come at a time when aid agencies are already very stretched carrying out relief work in storm-hit central America, as well as Niger and Sudan.
She quotes a senior official as saying agencies would find it very difficult to respond to another disaster.
