Friday, August 16, at 17:45.
Specifics:
The server is listed on the general list, but I cannot log-on (neither from the general list, nor from the console) because after opening the "Connecting..." window, the server remains "unresponsive" (I'm sure there is a better word for it), in the sense that when I attempt to connect, it will just continue forever counting time and "Waiting challenge..."
BTW, this example is real, the server really has a problem!

Thursday night there was a hugh lag round 22:00 (my time)
i was tweaking the server, the power to the server has increased a bit but i will try to set it better when there are many players on the server.

k found the problem firewall was on setting : paranoid.
you all can play now, i just need to find the correct firewall settings..

kk i think i found the correct settings allowing everone on the server and not blocking access (only to thos eips that are banned)
plse let me know if there is still problems with connecting to the server..

I (presumably we) got a "connection interrupted" warning and now the server is down.

the server died couple of minutes ago...
first a gigantic lag and afterwards pooof, no server
it's not on the list, the server monitor doesn't show up...
just as the server was blown up to smitherins...

yeah i checked the server and i saw it was "stuck"so i rebooted it, should be working fine now..

almost all are empty and disallow any connections to themselves...

Yep, Iron, that's what normally happens to me too: more often than not, each time I have a connection problem, it's the provider that has screwed up, not me! I've learned to take a step back, wait a few hours, maybe even 1 day, and then it all works again; in the old days, I would pretty much dismantle my computer, assuming the problem was at my end.... |

that is ok i got impatiant, im used in ET fucking up things so i assumed that it did it this time also, and as we all know assumption is the mother of all fuck ups.. ooh well doesnt i still had ET on hard drive and i put all the maps and mod in a seperate map before uninstalling.. |
