hi all in other servers i`ve been hearing things about some kind of codes u can have ( unhit code and so on) ... So i was thinking are there really those codes or is it just the bugs in the game ? Been notising that behind tiny little object u cant be hit...for example landmine.... hard to hit even with sniper rifle So guestion is are there places in the maps where u cant be hit or is it the codes Ask it because once in plc server tried to snipe one player and could not hit him....im not good sniper but not that bad !!!!! Ps... Happy new year all !!!

that's not cheating but taking advantage of your knowledge... it works this way: the game shows that there is an object somewhere but u can go through it (or shoot through it)... and just the opposite!! u see nothing infront of u yet u can't go through this 'invisible' wall... it's just like going prone behind a fallen comrade, he is dead so he can't move, u aim at the enemy, pull the trigger and yet you just make holes in your teamm8ts body... it isn't cheating, it's just putting your knowledge into some good (for yourself) use

there are codes that high lvl players have (server admins) that can be used to cheat if they want to play that way as far as normal players, yeah they can cheat on a none punk buster server else punk buster will surly kick them off..

and to add in to fr3sh's post Since ET is running on a Quake 3 engine there is a butload of codes and I know this for a fact. Tho I am sure when u install the game those codes are disabled (u cant use them even if u know them) and if u enabled them PB would do its work.

Ahem...
Could someone please post here a clear definition of (i.e. making a clear difference between) a "cheater" as opposed to an "exploiter"?
And aren't exploits only cheats which haven't yet been added to the PunkBuster latest updates? And vice-versa?
Shed some light on my path, oh you gurus of code....

So, if a player even unintentionally takes advantage of the bad job that the programmers of the game did, he is exploiting code bugs (example, "mini-mg").
While, if he is intentionally using additional code, he is cheating (example, "aimbot").
Okies, it's clear in my head now, good... Thanks Iron.
See? This is why I stick to propaganda, as opposed to techie stuff...

Or is it just about ping or lag or...?
