OMG dudes dont be so nastily 4 u. i dont know why u have been fight with yourselfs?? ....finish that stuff and forget about it;) i know that Poland is a country with bad history but Iron it is 4 u: u shouldnt post this picture...       u really know that this situactions are in a whole world, even in your country... u show bad places but in Poland there is a lots of places where u could arrive.... Have u ever been in Poland? I dont think so... your opinion is only from internet and newspaper or TV I know that Nederlands are better than Poland but in many things but.... What part of Europe ? Hitler divided people and Europe like You do ! Much money - good europe, less money - not europe. So what ? and the funny thing is i was talking to fly about hes 3d card and he told me he wanted to buy a new one but in portugal they are very expensive (over priced) so now i have to believe that in a east european country they all have better monitors then 800x600 but in a more rich european country the price of computer components is high (over priced). what doesnt fit in this picture... Hi, I hesitated in posting on this topic after it had suddenly veered into a "Poland: Love It or Leave It" direction. Zécristo has expressed very much my own feelings on this matter, but that is only normal: we have been friends for over 20 years, and besides we have the same age and the same culture, plus we have witnessed the same national and international events of the past few decades. Indeed, a vid card with the specifications Iron quoted to me some time ago costs here (Portugal) around 250 euros; basic multimedia computers (say, for a student, i.e. "last-year's" technology) can be relatively unexpensive (around 1,000-1,500 euros, where better on-screen resolution can easily account for that 500 euros difference...), but when you start tweaking your machine to get "top-o-the-line" performance, costs easily double or even triple those of "off-the-shelf" computers. My own computer cost me 2,500 euros 2 years ago, and it's not that hot... It doubles as a home-office/entertainment machine. Work software currently installed on my computer must exceed that amount in euros (all my copies are legal and registered) That much said, if you buy your computer as unassembled parts at some bulk-store (but you need to have a "friend" in the business AND you need to know what you're doing...) and then "Lego" it together, possibly with some parts you've salvaged from your old computer, you could get a modern, powerful machine for, perhaps, only 1,000 euros. Of course, you would probably be using pirate software... Any statistics apart, I find it hard to believe an ex-USSR satellite like Poland (and Romania is even worse...) who is now at the same level of technological/industrial advance as Portugal was in the mid-80's (whe we joined the EU, then EEC) will have such a high standard of living that will allow more than, say, 5% of their population to have home computers. Of course, this is just my opinion; and besides, commom-sense can sometimes be surprisingly wrong... May I suggest we cut this thread from where it go sour and move it to another topic, perhaps "Differences in every-day living of EU countries"? |

100 $ per mounth dont be funny And i dont know anybody who is using 800x600 And traw is right that your data is over time And you dont have right.. jez walk to the nearest MC donalds (if there is one) and they will offer u a wage of 1.15 a hour... walk to the same MC donalds here and they offer u 6.99 a hour.. so that means u earn 184 bucks a month working 8 hours aday for mc donalds... and that is IF it is a western compangy, i can only imagine when it is a polish companey, i bet u make half so thats under 100 bucks.. so that is 457.98 Polish zlotys for one month of worrk at MC sounds like a lot but it isnt.. |

And now this is poland, then we have the morrocans we have the turks we have the surinamers and we have the africaners all doing the same shitty thing, all working for minimum price all sending out money.. this is bad for us, if i was a boss and i can choose between a cheap labor force or a expensive labor force i will choose the cheap one, this is costing Dutch people jobs and our standard of living is going down cos the bosses wont pay more or else they will hire polish people or morrocans or whatever to do the job.. So they come here and make money they dont spend shit cos they have a wife and 10 kids at home so what they are doing is sucking our country empty.. they take but they dont put anything back into the economie, sure there labor makes something (if they in construction a house) but that house wont be lower in price then one made by dutch people so in the end who benefits from all this..exactly goverment.. the same goverment that lets them all come here in the first place... this aint no joke this is economics at it worst.. without them all knowing it they are ripping appart countries and politics wont do sjit cos they want cheap labor force.. And its not like im blaiming them if i can choose: make 1.15 a hour or make 6.99 a hour for the same job i would go for the 6.99 a hour, that is only human.. we have polish,morrocan,surinam,african people here who are a docter or proffesor in there own country but here they whipe the streets cos they make more money here sweeping the streets then in there own country as a docter.. this is bad in 2 ways, here u have this smart guy doing a shit job (one a dutch guy should be doing) and on the other hand the country he comes from loses all its smart people cos they are all looking for "gold" in other countries.. and then all the money they invested in education is lost becos that person is sweeping streets here instead of being a badly needed docter there.. so it is a spiral effect and it wont stop untill all these countries get there shit together... |

besides u are one of the few that maybe has a good job lets give u the benefit of the doubt and say u are one of the 5% of polish people that have it like that...
and pictures say shit, that computer isnt even a brand., i bet tht windows is a ripped off version not even a original..
you polish are well known for your ripping off products and making it your self for 1/10 of the price,,,
i bet that the processor inside isnt even intel and if it says intel that it is made in a shed some where in poland like all this imitation cds and software u guys make...
that says nuthing, u maseare a countries wealth by the standard of living of all people not by the one person,
you maseare a countries standard of living by what the produce and how much they earn and in that prospective you guys have a LONGGGGGGG way to go...
and that is a picture of one computer i have 3, so that means u are 2 behind, see like i sayed that doesnt say anything...
