server 1 is being upgraded
Everytime i hear people say LAG!! it feels like i failed so i got a few new things today and upc has new packages i got the new best package for (none companey, none commercial) internet users.
i got a new ultra high speed modem, i bought a new ultra highspeed router, and the cable power will be doubble the current up and download..
this will take sometime and the server will be probably offline durring the night/morning time.
i will try to do this all in the off time and not the prime time of the server usage..
in theorie this will mean we can now have 32 players or the same amount of players with much better ping ,but s we all know there is a diffrence between theorie and reality sometimes..

Cool thing, it would be facinating to have 16 vs 16 match ;D PS. Does this mean too that there is more "VIP" slots |

Does this mean too that there is more "VIP" slotswell i want to see what it does first, tonight i need to redo my modem, router then redo all the router software and open a ip gate for people to connect to the server etc etc, then i need to test the server speed to see if it really was upgraded and the new modem connect faster and better.. if all that is done (say 2 days at most) then i can slowly jack up slots to see how much the server can handle now before we all start to lag., then after i found out how many slots we can have xtra (if at all, maybe globle ping will just be lower not more slots) , then we shall see.. (cant say what will happen cause dotn know if it all works and if it is really all tht better, fact is we will get dubble upload and dubble download wich we have now, does not mean, the new ultra fast router and the new ultra fast modem can handle all this new found cable speed, if that is the case then people will just get a lower ping on server when playing (wich is very good as far as iam concerned) or/and pings will go lower and we can increase with say 4 slots (or more,, no idea) First iam happy i got this all now but iam not looking forward to the work it will give me, esspecially any that has or has hadt a router will know it is a biatch to get the ips right and now it is dubble cause of server. . ooh wells if i dissapear off the internet for a few days u know it was the cable and iam at the head UPC building with me baseball bat  |

no loading bug i fixed for maps we are currently running..
other news
Because of the new modem server 1 has a new ip: 80.56.196.103:27960
Also a new server monitor, server is now under going maximum player test.
server will be further upgraded in 2/3 work days..
the new hard ware gave the server a whooping 450kpbs xtra, the old modem simply coul dnot handle the power that the cable was putting out (or not handeling it correct). in 2 to 3 work days the cable will be upgraded to (if all is well) dubble the size (cant wait to test tht).

new max player test went good we have 22 players no lag, i had set it at 22 players + 2 private, will do more testing after the 2nd server upgrade (cable)

server 1 has been totally upgraded now, new modem, new router, and new cable speed, if u still lag, it is because:
1) finland, france and poland are still far away, no matter what speed server has.
2) you need to upgrade your own cable or modem
3) you have a RAM problem, (low ping but still lag = RAM shortage)
i can not do anything more to upgrade the server nor its hardware, this is the limit.
