Google Loses Appeal On Posting Belgian Ruling
Google loses appeal on posting court ruling from Reuters covers Google losing an appeal that it should not be required to post the ruling of a Belgian court over a copyright infringement lawsuit on its Belgian web search and news sites. It now will be fined 500,000 euros per day for each day it fails to comply. Google has a further appeal on the entire case, including posting the ruling, that will be heard in November. My past article Google's Belgium Fight: Show Me The Money, Not The Opt-Out, Say Publishers has more about that and the entire case.

Finally someone stands up to google, these guys have become to powerful on the internet, they decide what u see and what u look at, and this is very dangerouse..

and a good fine too if i may say so... ============= It now will be fined 500,000 euros per day for each day it fails to comply. =============
google almost has a monopoly position and it is about time goverments did something about it, i mean google decides what we look at how we look at it and also does all the adverticement of almost all websites, and not only that, they give websites who have google adverticments priority in a search...

In my personal usage of internet Google has a big monopoly position: i find the things i need with it, i look my e-mail via it, i've got allmost every RSS feed what i need on my homepage, i can use google earth to find my house ;D And many more thing, and compared to other search engines google has also many languages and support them fully. But competing is always good for everything, as we good ole capitalists know

yes a few motnhs ago there was a hugh discussion about this same thing, because google stores all the searches u look for under your ipo so with a flick of a button they can see every website u ever looked for in google, this is very worrying.. the part i hate most is the fact that they have total control over adverticement on the world wide web, if you want to advertice ont he web you can not do it without google, you need them no doubt about that.. that they work with the cia is new to me, but why does it not suprise me one bit, it had to happen sometimes, i bet the cia wants to know who typs int he worlds bin laden, or stuff like that, it would not surprise me one bit that google sends information to the cia about who looked for :bin laden: :adolf hitler: : mein kampf: or stuff like that, i bet there is a google file about each and everyone of us in the hands of the cia already.
