I also have some problems with my graphic card, or should i say, graphic accelerator. This sign (check the sign on the picture, NOT THE WOMAN!! ) appears whenever i play a certain game. Sometimes i can go back to windows, sometimes all i can do is to restart my comp. Any ideas guys? I've installed service pack 2 on windows xp, but the funny thing is that my friends dont have same problems with service pack 1 . Help needed!

Mickey, silly me (g33k) perhaps, but did you try to reinstall the driver of the card or updated him at ati.com? If not, hope it will keep running at ET Ybf

The funny thing is that i've just recently made a format of my computer, so everything is freshly installed and should be running smothely. I've also installed some monitor updates, but nothing seems to be better. When this thing happened for the first time, i've updated my graphic card (radeon 9550; bought computer 3 years ago...) but this vpu recovery doesn't leave me alone I will try to figure out something ... i hope ... .

Well i don't know the answer but i have the same error message once in a while. Mostly when playing ET, while playing RTW and call of duty i never experienced it. It has been going on for 2 years and still its functioning so maybe its not a very big problem. My graphic card still works it just get resets once a month or so . np

Well Mickey, the main and most important thing is that you probably can still do this: Greetz, Ybf.

Hehehe, nice one I would like to add just one thing. I updated my graphic card from the ati technologies site and the next thing that happens after rebooting is that one error message appears, something about mom.exe . I guess i will have to buy geforce card next time, not a radeon. See ya around

i have not seen that message either..when we put in new graphizs card also a radeon but i cant remember which modle lol.. in pc and restarted pc we had no prblems at all. except for brighter picture and faster game play and graphixs . my friend has a problem with his card but not the same as you..all he does is take out card and puts a other one in .then takes it out and puts new one back and and it works. if you have a spare old card put it in then put new one back in..why it works i have know idea .lol..
