i installed a 2nd 80gig hard drive and i made it a "slave" i restarted my computer then checked the bios and it was found as primary slave (everything on auto)
then windows started and no 2nd harddrive appeared i still got: a: diskette b: (nothing) c: normal harddrive (local) d: dvd cd e dvd cd anyone got any solutions? if i let windows make a devices search it can find the new hard drive and its drivers work properly..

i found the solution it i snormal for winxp to not show a 2nd slave hard drive , it appears in bios and in hardware but not in my computer
here is what to do. 1) right click "my computer" then press manage, then press "hardware" nd give your new harddrive a letter
that should fix it..

Since you will not put something to your slave drive, window will not show it in the workdesktop.... In the explorer you can find it, put something in, and you will see it...
