Ok, To post a link to a picture on a site, I think I got it now: 1) you go to the site, right click on the picture, chose Properties, then copy the link as given under Address (URL); 2) back to the forum, you start a post and, from the Tags bar above the post editing window itself, click on the Insert Image button (the one that has a painting, i.e. the 4th from the left on the lower row); 3) in between the 2 sets of html code (square brackets), you paste the link. And when you finish the post, you should be able to see the picture on your post. Above is the picture you mention on your post, with bayonets for the AK47. Wow, lots of them! yes fly that works, but if you want to post an image from your own pc, not so. You will need to emply the use of a handy web service that allows you to upload photos or pix from your machine, then once its hosted by a site, you can use your method above. I find this site to be very good: tinypic.comThey host any images as long as they are under 250kb for images over 250kb they are automatically resized to be under the limit. hope this helps you dude

Well, I have one, in my little book:
-- 9 mm machinegun-pistol HK MP-5 SD6 with & without silencer; -- 9 mm machinegun-pistol HK MP5 KA1 with shoulder holster and clips (best photo of the lot, btw, the other ones look over-exposed).
I'll try to scan them and e-mail them to you, then, ok?

Well, I have one, in my little book: -- 9 mm machinegun-pistol HK MP-5 SD6 with & without silencer; -- 9 mm machinegun-pistol HK MP5 KA1 with shoulder holster and clips (best photo of the lot, btw, the other ones look over-exposed). I'll try to scan them and e-mail them to you, then, ok? I slammed the book open on the scanner glass, and got 2 scan .jpg files (with different resolution) of the MP-5 with silencer, but the file sizes are too big: 9 MB for b&W medium resolution, 96 MB for 256 colours high resolution. I even got a 4.2 GB file for a full-page scan with the highest possible resolution, but after half-an-our it wasn't yet ready... Anyway, the quality of the final product is always crappy (regardless of resolution), because the source picture is printed, and as such there is a "chicken-wire mesh" all over (from the quadricromia printing process), which becomes quite visible after scanning. Any advice as what to change in the scanner settings to get rid of this "mesh"?
