How long before we have Cyborg Soldiers ?
Well what do you guys and girls think..
how long before we have armies made up of droids or cyborgs..
And keep it realistic i dont mean Terminators, i mean tanks,plains,ships operated by computers making decisions by/for them selfs...

Well i saw a program about cyborgs and technologie a few weeks back and the japanese made a robot that can walk, bow,bend over,waves, (move its arms in general) and stuff like that.. But it was still attached to a cable because of the powersupply for all the motors and computers...  In that same Program on TV they showed a new kind of weapon, iv tried to look for it on th einternet (for a picture) but i couldt find any.. it was called the FireStorm it was simple a box filled with barlles (over 600 )and each barlle had 20 bullets in it. they were all fired electronicly, so that means very fast in a row, or in all kinds of diffrent patterns.. you couldt take out a 200 troops over a area of 1000 meters away.. they also had sort of a mortar version, it had 4 - 8 mortar tubs also filled.. ;D |

a whille ago there was some kind of tech games where people from school , collages , etc etc etc made robots 2 run , swim , jump and all kind of stuff in a competition type thing

in that case, don't you guys think it will be a hell of a lot sooner than 50 years? If they already got cyborg football, I don't think it will be too much longer at all. Maybe 10 years, but it would all be kept top secret anyways. The Americans like to keep their stuff secret ,and I'm betting the japs have already got prototypes being tested.  |

Ahhh guys what u are talkin about are robts.
Big programmed pilles of metal.
Cyborg are somethin totaly different.
Cyborgs(the ones tha still dont exist)) are also programmed-but brainwashed and chip stuffed-mixes of nature and techology.I mean flesh and metal,Half man half machine.Totaly differently designned and arangged than robts.So called perfect soldier with no humanity and no sense of pain,fear,moral...pure killing force.
And the other version(the ones that exist).Humans and animals mechanicly/digitaly enhaced but still with the mind of their own (like robot arms,digital sound recivers-artificial ear...)

aah but we are close..
cos i saw this guy on tv he was paralized in both arms.. he got a chip implanted into hes brain with wires to hes arm and he could use it again...
i saw this monkey they trained him to use a joystick, to put a cross over symbols and if he got it right they gave him food..
now here is what they did.. they put a chip in hes brain..
and disconnected the joystick the monkey grabbed the joystick and moved the symbols and stuff, but not with hes hands but hes brain...

Those are still cyber enhacments but still great yeah dude, the american are busy with none pilot airplanes they already have none pilot plains for scout missions but the new fighter (euro fighter or whater it is called) will be the last of the pilot on board plains.. after that they will be alll remotely controlled, that is the beginning.. |
