yeah a macheta would be good but it would be inposible to fish whit it or make a spear but it would be exelent for bilding a woden house but that pic of katana i posted i think it would be perfect you kuld use it like a spear or to fish whit it ...and you would be able to chop wood not a oak tree but little treed palms ...and its good for defending yourself from wild animals so i would take a katana No, no, never use your only blade in a way that will risk losing it or breaking it: use your blade to make other tools. You may endure hunger for a few days (while you wait for your fishing/hunting traps to get you some food), but if you start throwing your blade at targets or dipping it into salt water, soon enough you won't have a usable blade anymore. If you want to catch fish, make a fishing line and hook (if you are really desperate, you can use your own clothes), make yourself a spear (or even better, a harpoon) from a straight tree branch, or make a fishing net with cord made of vegetal fibres. Start looking for food when you still don't need it. Same for drinking water and, of course, shelter. exactly u dont risk losing ur only usable tool, you make other tools with the machette or whatever item u have.. Whatever happened to cooperation?... ermmm well if a person is on a boat, and it is sinking and that persons only concern is to take a sword with him for when he is on the island doesnt put much convidence in me that he will let me live why else take a weapon with you instead of a tool (that can be used as a weapon)..
