before you look i wanna say, i do not support nazi ideologi.. i was looking for medals i could use for the maybe new chivalry medal, and google gave me a dutch german nazi website that is clearly a propaganda website, but look beyound that and look at the iron cross witness papers ,i have never ever seen those before and friends of my collect everything from ww2 (allied and axis) but i have never ever seen a witness paper for a ritterkrause before.. then scroll further down u see photos of the recievers of the iron cross., now look at there faces, some look really proud and some, some look like " ooh shit iam gonna die", then look under the pictures at the born - die day (if died) most of the once with the " ooohh shit iam gonna die look on there face" have almost all died before or in 1945... users.pandora.be/eisernes_kreuz/ritterkreuz.html

I dont suport nazies too. But you have to admint they are very nicly designed. most people forget that the ironcross or so called ritterkraus is not nazi at all like most things nazis stole the idea (the swastica, the roman banners, the roman one arm up greeting) but the medal it self dates well back the the middleages.. esspecialy there greeting has a intressating histoy , it was very common to greet people you with your right arm lifted up high, you have to remember we are talking roman and early midevil times, and when u saw a stranger on the road you didnt know if he was a friend or someone ready to rob or kill you, so people greeted each other with there right hand up (seeing that is 95% of the time your sword or weapon hand) and later waving to let everyone see "look i have no sword in my hand, i wont hurt you" .... but like i sayed nazi stole it and made it there own.. there is not one thing that the nazies thoughed of them selves as far as there idology goes, they all went on where other people left off, from the cloths, to the salute, to the mass meetings, everything comes from a wagner opera.. durring hitlers regiem there was even a moment when people were convinced Hitler would marry the wife/widow of Wagner and that they had a romance for a while , Wagners kids even called Hitler Uncle...

its true the nazis copied alot of things i study latin (roman culture plus language) and its true they greeted people with the arm 45 degrees up (they only did that in the army when they saw an officer or high ranked man, also politicians were greeted that way, its something like the militairy salute we now have bye gesp stylo

The nazis were compltly obssessed with roman culture, they even made false buildings and ruines in italie it self and then later they "found them" and dugg them up with german proaganda cameras at the scene it was to oroof that there was a link between the arien race and the roman emporers etc etc (or something in that kind of thinking style) .. it is because AH was completly obssessed with Wagners Opera (forgot the name) and it had roman costumes and a banners etc etc etc i once saw a complete documentery about that on discovery channel , Ah saw that opera 63 times or something.. anyways i finally some good examples and ideas to upgrade the chivalry medals
