i thoughed i already made apost about this movie but seems not..
anyone seen Der Untergang, i found it one of the most bizar movies i have ever seen, it was about the last days of Hitler and hes staff in the bunker, he cursed hes generals and staff and they all stood there and took it, whilst the russians were 200 meters away, the loyalty some had for him was limitless that was bizar to see..
in the mean time people were shot by the dozen, for disobying
all in all it was a good movie, the guy playing hitler was very convincing and very good actor too..

I've seen this, we watched this on my German language course at school(it was the only good thing about the entire course, no offense to DC/GWK  ). I liked it, Hitler was very interesting personality, and those 10 year old kids running around with panzerfausts were quite interesting. It was also very touching to watch some of the Germans taking their cyanide pills. |

I was touched when nurses gave cyanide pills to just bron kids and kill them with pillow coz Nazi take them for the genetic test's.
Or when Jew's throw lil kid by the 3 meters wall coz they will die in getto.
And they wish that someone will take lil kid to home.
I was touched when old Jew mother ate hand of her dead son coz she didnt eat nth for weeks.
But it was in book I was reading..
And this is better to say Nazi not Germany coz when you say Germany you mean all country but we should remember that not all Germany was Nazi.

It was also very touching to watch some of the Germans taking their cyanide pills. yeah and when that scene came when hitler went out side the bunker to decorate the "panzer faust" kids and then he pulls on hes cheek, iv seen the real black and white movie of that but the camera angle is from the other side, that was really when it hitted me it was real, and not some sureal fake script  I was touched when nurses gave cyanide pills to just bron kids and kill them with pillow coz Nazi take them for the genetic test's. yeah that was really "scary" and bizar.. you can also clearly see some of the german soldiers and officers are absolutly no Nazi party members or whatever, but were just fighting for there country but not for the nazi idiology ========== a other bizar moment in the movie: That German General who is fighting at the front lines gets a message from the fuhrer bunker to report there to be shot for treason or coward behavior.. he goes to the bunker is met by 2 generals, they ask him why are you here, he calmly says "Iam here to be shot on the orders of the fuhrer" they take him to see the Fuhrer and he comes back after a few minutes he will not be shot, but hes been promoted to Commandor of the defence of berlin (wich is none existing)... then he tells the 2 generals i rahter would have been shot .... bizar!! |

This is a brilliant film. Bruno Ganz is superb.
One of the best films I saw last year. Another German film to watch is
SOPHIE SCHOLL

these 2 (der untergang and sphie scholl)
are really brilliant ones
and in this movies arent all this famous hollywood actors
in der undergang the scene with the cyanide pills for example
i bet u wouldnt have been touched in this bizar way if nicolas cage and jennifer garner killd their kids
its always nice to see movies with not so famous actors
