it says band, but jimi hendrix was one person, ok later it was jimi and the jibbos (lol) but he was jimi.. no doubt jimi is the greatest, he did stuff with hes gitar that no one ever did after him... he died way to young...  |

Those are all great bands, but can you compare Jimi Hendrix to the Beatles?  I don't know too much about all of them, but my choice is between Hendrix or Zeppelin. I'm going for Hendrix |

I agree with mickey. I think there is no band (mentioned above) like The Beatles which so many songs are played by simphony bands or another musicians. Their songs are very simple, but very melodiously and simply - fine.
My second (sometimes the first) favourite rock band is Queen. In my opinion - if Freddy Mercury wouldn't die so young, Queen would be "The Beatles of XXI age". Freddy was the music genius and (I'm sure) He had much more to sing.
Besides Loazis is right - You can't compare Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles. Every band or singer has it's own style and voting for one of them is a little bit unfair and unjust.

u cant really say which is the greatest band
cause everyone has a different taste
the bands have all different styles of music
e.g. cant u compare the beatles and led zeppelin
the styles are too different
