if you have problems wih punk buster and it doesnt update by it self then check this website..

PunkBuster (ET) Security Files
The following files are only needed if your PunkBuster doesn't update by itself. Right click the appropriate link below and choose "save as" to your "pb" folder - make sure the file you save is saved with the filename shown below.
For Players Filename: pbsec.htm
For Admins Filename: pbsecsv.htm

people tell me a lot that they get kicked for invalid.pk3 file ..
so what does this mean??
it means that punkbuster and ET made a mistake, the server thinks you dont have a certain map or mod, it will try to download..
example
for example we are in caen and u try to connect but you get invalid pk3 report and you cant connect, then ET thinks you must download it will start download, when it is done it tries to conenct you but the download he just did was not a pk3 but a temp file so game wont work you get kicked for invalid pk3..
what to do?
turn off game, restart game, connect to server.. did this help??
yes: problem solved
no: check your etmain folder see if you have a temp file in there for example:
caen.temp
whale-plc-mod.temp
remove the temp files reconnect to the server problem should be fixed..

i keep being kicked after each map
This is a rare problem it has to do with your connection and punkbuster, the server loses your conencted at the end of each map then it automaticly reconnects to you and loads the map,. in this case when he tries to reconnect to you he cant find you and you will be kicked for lack of package flow..
try reinstalling/updating punkbuster (look above)

mbay its too old ? or i need to download ET from i net ?
