This depends on your internet connection (bandwith) and the usage of it. If you're connected with DSL (1-2 MBit) you'll experience some higher ping, especially if they are using Filesharing software. If you're connected with a 100 MBit dedicated line you won't be affected by your sisters computers

the answer is most defantly yes, depending on what your sisters are doing on the internet, they more active they are on it the more they will suck up band witdh, ET wants the more the better, (esspecially) when your sisters are also playing online games that also are graphicly beautiful then you will all suck up a even portion of the avalible bandwitdh and you will all lagg.. i always recommend 1 pc, 1 cable ,and no other stuff on that sucks bandwitdh: no fire wall, no x-fire, no msn ,no icq no nothing only ET. just read this, it has 2 pages.. paradiselost1.proboards25.com/index.cgi?board=wolfet&action=display&thread=1165780081#1165967487%3Cbr/%3Eit will answer all your questions,,

its simple...if all of u r on computers there wont be any bigger lag... but if one of u will download something , download any file or send any file there will be big ping...
and STOP GEEKING ALL THE DAYS AND GET A LIFE

here i have 3 computers behind a adsl router, my wife plays (card play), her son plays (COD2 , WOW, or ET), and i play (ET) too at the same time, take care to not open too much prog, and not DL anything, all will be alright... My connection has a speed of 4096 Kb/s.... i have no problem, look at my ping when im connect and look the ping of Shaka my stepson, it's correct , between 30 and 50, it is really good. Btw, we are in belgium, not far from holland... we have both xfire open, and he use TS all the time....

do you think that i can play et on your server and disconnect my antiviruse and firewall ? while playing you dont need a virus scanner, but you really really should have a firewall (in your dsl-router is one integrated, if you have one...). The so called personal firewalls running on your Windows-PC are not that usefull (as long as you trust your local applications).

I used kaspersky wich , for me , is the best one, but the problem is that ti use lot of part of the processor and make, sometime when i play, my computer slow. Yesterday i try to closi it and ti was better. ty

A firewall running on your local machine doesn't usually have so much to do, that it slows down your computer.... except you configured it to write a detailed logfile about all events. In this case it could happen that your computer slows down because it has to write a huge amount of data into the logfile (caused by some kind of test or attack of your computer). So take a look on your firewall configuration and set the logging to a lower level or disable logging completely.... hope this helps Pit

if you play on a different time as your sisters, there will be no prob just negociate with your sisters and divide the time equally, there will be no prob then for example: you play from 8 to 10 am your sister plays till 12am and your other sister plays 13 to 15 pm, after that you can go online again and if you sister doesnt want to play that day, you can share her time with your sister and have more et fun lol bye gesp stylo ps: it works fine with me lol, only we have a very heavy connection (like almost everyone using belgacom in belgium alot better than that telenet crap ;D ) so we have 2 computers and in a month 3 and we can use them toghether (so me and my bro can play toghether on et while my dad plays age of empires online)
