ok i tried this before but now it seems to work, i tested it with dav, fatfreddy,cheesy,master and a cuple of unwilling noobs yesterday and it worked perfectly..
all the server downloads now are redirected to 2 websites (one backup) and downloads go freaking fast now...
plse report any bugs...
fatfreddy was doing 197 kb a sec download he had ping 45
cheesy was doing 44kb a sec download but she had 110 ping at the time, still it was 2x better then normal standard download..
also 3 more poeple downloaded now using this new method so im quit sure it works properly..

if this is succesful no one has reported a error) we can change our compiegn cycle to include more none standard maps also we can include more maps in general..
or more things to our mod..

yep just test it, see what rate u get, just remove temple3 map from ur etmain and then go to server and see how many kb a sec u are getting..

dotn know if this was such a good idea, today (saterday) the website got 1095 people (and counting) that wanted to download maps and that costed me 1294 MB wich means i had to pay xtra to the homepage provider to get more bandwitdh..  |

holy CRAP!! maybe u could provide external links to the maps?? meaning from other web pages and host only mods?? no the maps have to be in a specific foder using other websited would mean stealing there bandwitdh.. the website isnt importent its the path Et looks for the maps and mods tht is vamphaven.250free.com/filesit has to point to a folder called files in that folder needs to me a etmain folder and in there all maps and mods tht the server has.. all maps and mods have to be in that one location.. i already removed trainyard because that download was a must even tho we arent on that map u need to download it like temple3 so i removed that map in order to save bandwitdh.. my website now counted : Today's Hits 1204 and used up: Today's Bandwidth 1380 MB in the process. |
