Alonso wins the European GpToday's race was just unbelievable!! It had everything from rain and crashes to sun and verbal assaults between drivers... . Due to heavy raining in the first few laps, wich caused many drivers spinning and ending the race in the second lap (they all had tires for dry course), the race was postponed and continued in sunny weather just 15 min afterwards. The only two drivers who were in front all the time were Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso. Raikkonen, who later on went out due to Hydraulics problems, hardly kept up with those two. After the last pit stops, it all looked like Massa was gonna win the race, but he had some problems with tires and Alonso took advantage of that just few laps before finish. Because his overtaking was dangerous, Massa verbally assaulted Alonso just before getting the trophies. Luis Hamilton finished 9 th, after he was already lifted by a crane in the second lap, as he spinned, but was put on the course by the workers. Lucky guy, can't say anything but that. News, published on eurosport page:
McLaren have been thrown out of this year's constructors' championship and fined $100 million (£49.2 million) following the outcome of their FIA hearing relating to Formula One's spy scandal in Paris. Crucially though, British superstar Lewis Hamilton and his Spanish team-mate Fernando Alonso, have been allowed to keep the points they have scored in the drivers' championship and retain their first and second places in the championship. The constructors' ban is bad news for McLaren, who had been leading the championship, and also means that, should the team win any more races this year, no team representative will be allowed onto the podium to collect the team's trophy. It also means that the team is certain to miss out on any prize money dished out this year, in addition to the benefits afforded to the top ten teams in the points, such as travel subsidies. The FIA said in a statement: "The WMSC (World Motor Sports Council) has stripped Vodafone McLaren Mercedes of all constructors points in the 2007 FIA Formula One world championship and the team can score no points for the remainder of the season," the FIA said.
"Furthermore the team will pay a fine equal to $100 million, less the FOM income lost as a result of the points deduction," it added.
The fine is the largest ever imposed in Formula One and possibly the largest in sport overall.
Additionally, their 2008 car, which is already well into it's production stage, will have to undergo a stringent FIA examination to ensure none of Ferrari's 'intellectual property' has been used, before the team will be allowed to race it.
Team boss Ron Dennis left the FIA headquarters without making any comment but is expected to speak on the matter later on.
Very very bad news for Mclaren, it's drivers very kinda lucky though ... .

Too long in formula 1 there hasnt been punishments if go over the edge ( Ferrari many times almost illegal parts at car) Too bad Mclaren got this big ( 100M ), but after all this is about spying. And the driver really got lucky this time because they knew that team knew all possible about ferrari so did kind of wrong too

Double Ferrari victoryWith his victory, Kimmi Raikkonen closed to Hamilton in overall standings to 11 pts, but there is still a lot to be done for him.
